STORM RIDER SOLUTIONS / ACCESSIBILITY

Accessibility Statement

The target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Most of it is met. The parts that are not are listed below by name, because a statement that claims full conformance without saying how it was tested is not worth reading.

Last reviewed August 31, 2026. If something on this site stops you from getting what you came for, write to Admin@stormrsolutions.com or call 401-203-5823. You will get a reply within two business days, and if the fix is quick it will usually be done before the reply.

You never have to use the website. Anything the upload form does can be done by email or over the phone, and that is not a workaround offered grudgingly. Plenty of shops send files by email already.

What has been done

  • Every page opens with a skip link that jumps past the navigation to the main content.
  • Every page has a single main landmark, so screen reader users can navigate straight to it.
  • Keyboard focus is visible on every interactive element. Form fields, buttons, links, radio cards, and the file drop zone all show a focus ring. This was previously suppressed site-wide and has been fixed.
  • Every form field has a real label tied to it, not a placeholder standing in for one. Autocomplete is set correctly so browsers and password managers can fill fields.
  • Color contrast meets AA throughout. The palette was measured, not guessed: body text on white, the steel grey used for captions, the yellow on navy, and the muted white in the footer all pass.
  • Text reflows and stays readable at 200% zoom and on narrow screens.
  • Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers. Photographs carry real alternative text.
  • Smooth scrolling is disabled for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.
  • Nothing on the site autoplays, flashes, or moves on its own.
  • The file drop zone works by keyboard. Drag and drop is a convenience on top of a normal file picker, not the only way in.
  • Selected files are announced when they are added, rather than only appearing on screen.
  • The cookie banner is keyboard operable, has Accept and Decline of equal prominence, and cannot be dismissed accidentally.

Known problems

Being fixed. Listed so you know what to expect in the meantime.

Form errors are not announced well

The upload and contact forms currently rely on the browser's own validation messages. Those are inconsistent across screen readers, they report one problem at a time, and if a submission is rejected after sending, the explanation may not be announced at all.

An error summary that lists every problem at once, with a link to each field, is being built. Until then, if a form will not submit and you cannot tell why, email or call and we will take the information directly.

The client portal has had a lighter review

The public pages have been audited in detail. The logged-in portal has had the same focus and labelling fixes applied but has not been tested as thoroughly with a screen reader. If you use the portal with assistive technology and hit a wall, tell us and it moves to the front of the queue.

How this was tested

Keyboard-only navigation of every public page. Contrast ratios calculated from the actual CSS values rather than eyeballed. Markup reviewed for landmarks, headings, labels, and alternative text. Zoom tested to 200%.

What has not been done: testing with real users of assistive technology, and a full pass with JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver. That is the honest limit of a one-person review, and it is why the reporting address above matters more than this list.

Reporting a barrier

Useful to include if you have it: the page, what you were trying to do, and what browser and assistive technology you were using. Any of it is better than none, and a one-line message is fine.
