CCC ONE estimates written in your shop's own account

Storm Rider Solutions writes CCC ONE estimates remotely, inside your shop's own CCC ONE account and under your shop's name. If your shop writes in Mitchell, I write in your Mitchell the same way. Every operation is line noted with its reasoning, and I write every file myself.

The short version

  • I write the estimate in your CCC ONE or Mitchell account, so it is your shop's document under your shop's name.
  • Christopher Johnson writes every file. 17 years writing estimates, in collision repair since 2008, writing hail since 2021.
  • Every operation is line noted with the reason it is on the file.
  • Turnaround is 24 hours from a complete set of photographs and documentation, or 24 to 72 hours at catastrophe volume.
  • The first file is free. After that it is one credit per file, from $150 down to $115 with a pack.

A CCC ONE estimate written by Storm Rider Solutions sits in your account like any estimate your own writer produced. It uses your profiles and your rates, and your shop sends it to the carrier. I write hail, collision and PDR files, and the same goes for supplements and estimate audits.

How a CCC ONE estimate gets written in your account

The same steps apply if your shop writes in Mitchell.

  1. Give me user access

Your shop sets up limited user access to its CCC ONE or Mitchell account. You decide who has access, and you can remove it at any time.

  2. Send the file

Upload the photographs and documentation on the upload page. A complete set of photographs is what keeps the 24 hour turnaround.

  3. I write the estimate

I write it in your account with every operation line noted. Hail, collision and PDR files are all written this way.

  4. Your shop sends it

When it is written, the estimate is in your CCC ONE or Mitchell for your shop to review and send to the carrier. If an appraiser doesn't understand a non-standard line I wrote, I explain the reasoning to them.

What a CCC ONE estimate from Storm Rider looks like

These lines are copied from a real CCC ONE preliminary estimate I wrote for Extreme Hail & Collision on a 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid. They are the kind of lines that get left off when an estimate is written fast.

Restraint system lines for a roof replacement. The roof on this vehicle was being replaced, so both head air bags come out first (lines 27 and 28), and the air bag system gets a diagnosis afterward (line 29). The note on line 26 says why the lines are there, so the appraiser reading the file can see the reason.

Adjacent panel repair and doors off for refinish coverage. Line 49 replaces the right roof rail because removing and replacing the roof will damage it. Lines 88 and 89 take both doors off so the roof rail gets proper paint and clear coat coverage. These are non-standard lines, and they are the ones an appraiser is most likely to ask about. When that happens, I explain the reasoning to the appraiser.

Scans, materials and operations the database leaves out. CCC ONE does not add these lines on its own. Line 157 carries a note saying it is not included in any database operation.

Why the estimate is written in your CCC ONE

When I write in your own CCC ONE account, the estimate belongs to your shop. It matches the profiles and rates you already use, it carries your shop's name, and it sits with the rest of your files. Nobody has to retype it into your system.

If your shop writes in Mitchell, I write in your Mitchell account the same way. If your shop has no estimating software, I write the file in Storm Rider's own CCC ONE and deliver it complete. Writing in your own account is the better option when you have one.

So far in 2026 (through the week of October 12), I have written $6,997,188 in estimates and supplements across 663 vehicles, an average of $10,554 written per vehicle.

What you can send

  • Mobile Tech RX exports and other scoping exports
  • Printed or handwritten hail matrices and scope sheets
  • CCC ONE or Mitchell files you already have
  • Photographs with nothing written yet
  • A carrier estimate you believe is short, with the denial or short-pay paperwork

There is no software integration with Mobile Tech RX. Your shop exports the file, and I write the insurance estimate from the export in CCC ONE or Mitchell. More on that on the PDR estimate translation page. Mobile Tech RX is a trademark of its owner. Storm Rider Solutions is not affiliated with it.

Questions shops ask about CCC ONE estimates

Can you write estimates in my shop's CCC ONE account?

Yes. Your shop gives me user access to its CCC ONE account, and I write the estimate there under your shop's name. The file belongs to your shop and uses your existing profiles and rates. You can remove my access at any time.

Do you write in Mitchell too?

Yes. If your shop writes in Mitchell, I write the estimate in your Mitchell account the same way. If your shop has no estimating software, I write the file in Storm Rider's own CCC ONE and deliver it complete.

How much does a CCC ONE estimate cost?

The first file is free: one vehicle, no card required, no contract. After that, estimates and supplements use credits, one credit per file. One credit is $150. A 10 pack is $1,400 ($140 per file), a 25 pack is $3,300 ($132 per file), a 50 pack is $6,250 ($125 per file) and a 100 pack is $11,500 ($115 per file). Credits never expire, there are no monthly minimums, and the price is never a percentage of the estimate.

How long does a CCC ONE estimate take?

24 hours from when I receive a complete set of photographs and documentation. At catastrophe volume it is 24 to 72 hours, and I tell you before you send if a week will land on the long end.

Who writes the estimate?

Christopher Johnson writes every file personally. He has 17 years writing estimates, has been in collision repair since 2008 and has written hail since 2021.

Do you send the estimate to the insurance company?

No. Your shop sends it, because it is better for the shop to be seen sending its own estimates. I don't follow up on or chase the file. When an appraiser doesn't understand a non-standard line I wrote, I explain the reasoning to them.
